Absolute Flat Emulsion Paint

Our most popular paint, Absolute Flat Emulsion is a beautiful, chalky, matte finish which is perfect for interior walls and ceilings.

With a ‘barely there’ low-sheen level of just 1%, Absolute Flat provides a sublime chalky finish, often referred to as ‘dead matte’ or ‘flat matte’ paint. It dries to an incredibly flat finish that exudes character.

Absolute Flat is wipeable with a damp cloth or sponge making it practical for the modern home too.

It can be used on a range of surfaces including walls, ceilings and plaster work. It’s the perfect choice for low-traffic areas such as bedrooms, living rooms, dining spaces, and study areas.

Containing zero added VOCs, Absolute Flat Emulsion is kind to the environment. It is also pet-friendly and certified as child-safe paint, under EN 71-3:2019 (Toy Paint Regulations). Absolute Flat is completely safe to use in children’s rooms, making it a very smart choice for the family home.

Applying Absolute Flat Emulsion

As a water-based paint, Absolute Flat has a quick-drying time of just 2-4 hours and is virtually odourless, so you can complete your project quickly with minimal disruption. This flat matte finish provides coverage of 570² per gallon; we recommend applying two coats for full depth of colour.

Available in the full Little Greene colour palette, the flat matte finish of Absolute Flat Emulsion appears especially rich and sumptuous in darker tones. Try Absolute Flat in ‘Obsidian Green’, ‘Hicks’ Blue’, or ‘Lamp Black’; use these deeper tones in an all-over scheme for real impact.

Absolute Flat Emulsion is available in two tin sizes: Quart and Gallon. It also comes in 60ml (2.03 fl oz) sample pots – so you can sample your chosen shades in the room you are decorating prior to ordering.
